Where is Larry Hughes?

St. Louisan Larry Hughes is having trouble
finding work.
Larry Hughes is a basketball legend in St. Louis, Missouri.

Just prior to Thanksgiving, Larry Hughes distributed 300 turkeys to families in need throughout the St. Louis community with the help of his charity The Larry Hughes Foundation.

Unfortunately, for Larry, he is not much of a legend in any other cities that have an NBA team, as he has found himself unemployed for the 2010-11 NBA season.

After multiple blunders in 2010 in Chicago, then New York, and then in Charlotte, Hughes was not picked up prior to the season and it doesn't look as though he is going to be picked up any time soon either.

Hughes was a versatile player throughout much of his career, able to play both point guard or either of the wing positions.

Hughes was a play-maker on the floor, but his inability to mesh with LeBron James in Cleveland really exposed his inability to shoot from the outside, easily the biggest flaw in his game.
Hopefully for Larry he can keep giving out the turkeys when he can.  He did make over $80 million dollars during his career.

At just 31 years of age, maybe he'll end up on a NBA roster at some point later this season.

  1. He's still a good player just needs to get his act together

  2. I agree. I hope he does. Teams would be able to overlook his attitude problems though if he a jump shot.

Giving out 300 turkeys is a good attitude adjustment I guess.... I want to see Larry back in the NBA
