Rams WR Mark Clayton Out For Season

During the first quarter of the St. Louis Rams 44-6 loss at the Detroit Lions, Mark Clayton hit the ground hard after running a route along the sideline.

Turns out it will be last route Clayton will run this year.  He left the game and has been diagnosed with torn patella tendon that will require season ending surgery.

"Yeah. I'm going to have to get surgery to get everything taken care of," Clayton said Sunday when asked if the injury was season-ending, according to the Post-Dispatch.

The Rams traded for Clayton just before the start of this year's regular season.  Clayton leads the Rams in receptions with 23 catches, including two for touchdowns.
