Hello all! Welcome to the first ever The Man Speak football picks. I realize that starting in the middle of the season isn't ideal, but then again, what does ideal really mean for any man that loves football?
This week we are lucky enough to have 3 Thursday night games as the traditional Turkey Day games are played on the home fields of Detroit and Dallas. I will pick these 3 games at this point, and look for another post on the other games for Week 12 that will be played on Sunday at some point before then.
All lines being used are as of 6:30 Central Time, Wednesday November 25th and are presented by LVSC Open
Let's get after it!!
Green Bay at Detroit (+10)
As much as I want to take the points and Detroit in an upset special, I just can't. I realize that Green Bay has already dropped a game on the road this year to a terrible Tampa Bay team, but without Stafford and with Calvin Johnson being Questionable, I just don't see how Daunte Culpepper can lead the offense to score enough points to keep up with Aaron Rodgers. I'll give the points and take Green Bay, Green Bay 37 Detroit 17
Oakland (+14) at Dallas
Oakland is coming off their season defining win at home against Cincinatti on Sunday, and knowing the make-up of this team, I don't see how they can show up two games in a row, especially when the games are 4 days apart. Tony Romo will sling the ball all over the field to Jason Witten and Miles Austin and Roy Williams may even catch a ball. I'll give the points and take Dallas, Dallas 42 Oakland 13
New York Giants at Denver (+2.5)
Denver is struggling, and struggling bad. The honeymoon is over and this team is having trouble moving the ball through the air or on the ground. Meanwhile, its about time the Giants really get this thing rolling. Look for Brandon Jacobs to play and run a few people over as I will give the points and take the G-Men. New York Giants 23 Denver 17
Enjoy!

two out of three. Remind me never to place bets according to your blog. Just joking buddy. Who could've predicted that Denver would hold NY to only 35 total yards in the first half.
