Kendry Morales breaks leg.... CELEBRATING!!!

Torn ACL
Somewhere in the world, Bill Gramatica is smiling.

Gramatica, long time NFL kicker for the Arizona Cardinals among others, is best known for tearing his ACL while celebrating a game-winning field goal.

Mr. Gramatica is no longer alone in performing such a goofy blunder.
Broken Leg

Yesterday, after hitting a walk-off grand slam to give his Los Angeles Angels a victory, Kendry Morales, surrounded by all of his teammates, which at the time seemed like a good idea and a feel good moment, broke his leg while jumping on home plate in the midst of celebration for his heroic triumph.

Who's the hero now?
Sure it is great to see a bunch of grown men playing a game that was built and designed for children get so excited when a teammate accomplishes something so special.  Sure it is good to see that these highly paid superstars run around like lunatics in celebration of victory, throwing helmets in the air, and giving each other cream pies in the face.

But when do these celebrations just become stupid?

Evidently, it didn't take long for other teams to notice how huge of a blunder the Morales injury has become.  Later that evening, after Roy Halladay threw the 20th perfect game in major league history, the Phillies were mild in their celebration.

Weird isn't it?  That the Angels just hours before went crazy over a walk-off homerun, something that happens 4 or 5 times a week in major league baseball.  The Phillies on the other hand, simply hugged it out after their star stud did something that has only been accomplished 19 other times in this games storied history.

Hopefully all athletes, in all sports, and at any level, wise up a little bit.  Yes, it is ok to have fun, but geez be careful.  Don't you want to play tomorrow?

Check out some of these recent celebrations.  If you were a fan, which one do you like best?  Morales breaking his leg?  A-Rod catching a helmet?  Or the Phillies hugging it out?  Leave a comment and let us know.  We're interested to hear your feedback.
