for Mizzou's game against the 3rd ranked Oklahoma Sooners
By Corey Rudd

Looks like more than just alumni will be making the trip to Columbia, Missouri for homecoming.

In a battle of unbeaten teams and for prime positioning in the Big 12 Conference, the Missouri Tigers will play host to the Oklahoma Sooners on October 23rd in Columbia, Missouri.  Game time is at 7 pm.

Since both schools come into the game undefeated, College Gameday has decided to make the trip to the Show-Me State to feature the Tigers and Sooners Big 12 contest.  The game has been chosen as the marquee match-up of the week and will be shown during prime time nationwide on ABC.

This is College Gameday's first ever trip to Columbia, MO.  The show is wildly popular and often draws huge crowds as large as 20,000 regularly.

Missouri, which is led by their junion quarterback Blaine Gabbert, will be looking to defend their home turf and throw their name in the mix for the National Championship conversation if they can pull off a victory over the powerful Oklahoma Sooners.

Oklahoma will come into the game ranked number 3 in the nation.  Missouri is ranked just number 16.

Be ready Columbia as the College Gameday crew is coming to Missouri!

  1. Come on Tigers, give us a win! Wonder how the pressure is going to affect the team? In the Tiger teams in the past, I don't have a lot of confidence (I remember losing to kansas plenty of times when there should have been no way). The realist in me keeps thinking, "This may not be pretty. Please don't make us look stupid." The optimist is thinking, "We are going to go in there and upset.. big time!" Guess we'll all have to wait until Saturday.
