Pros Humbled at 2010 Masters

Men everywhere spend hundreds of dollars a year on equipment, clothes, shoes, and the game of golf in general.  And for what, pure frustration?

The 2010 Masters was surely frustrating for even two of the most famous golfers in the game today, Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods.  While Phil won the tournament and Tiger manager to return to the game of golf without any of his mistresses to be seen, the two had instances on the course that aren't so different than the everyday man hitting the links at the local $35 course.

Check out here as Mickelson, in the lead at the time hits a putt that looks to be heading straight to the hole, only to be interrupted and bumped by an object that flew in the path of the ball on his back swing.

Now how many times have we blamed our errant shot on a piece of wood that comes flying on to the course from the sky?  Its never our own fault we can't sink a simply 20 foot putt.  Speak for yourself, as 5 foot putts are often a challenge.

Now to Tiger, who had plenty brought up leading up to the tournament about his effort to respect the game more and become more fan friendly.

Now, somebody please explain how this is any different than any man on whole number after putting in a half day at the office and shanking an approach shot from 150 yards out?

Point is, that golf truly is a humbling game, even for the two greatest players in the game at this time.

Respect the Golf Gods.
