In the first edition of the ManSpeak's MLB player of the week award, we'd like to honor David Freese of the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Rookie 3rd Baseman, who was acquired by the Cardinals a few years back for fan favorite, Jim Edmonds, is already making returns on investment.
Freese had an outstanding and break-out week at the plate, going 15 for 28 for a .538 avg, hitting 5 doubles, 3 homeruns with 13 RBI's. All of this power production while striking out just 3 times and helping St. Louis to a 5-2 record.
