World Series Pitching Match-up Set

Cliff Lee will face Tim Lincecum in Game 1 of the 2010 World Series
In the NLCS, we saw a dream pitching match-up not once, but twice, as former MLB Cy Young Award winners Tim Lincecum and Roy Halladay squared off both in Game 1 and Game 5.

This time around in the World Series, Lincecum will square off against another former Cy Young Award winner in Cliff Lee.

For Matt Cain, the Game 1 World Series match-up is a dream as well.

"We're feeling good about it. We'll start it out with Timmy against Cliff," Cain said. "This is what we've all dreamed of doing."

One problem. Cliff Lee isn't human during the playoffs.

In 8 post-season starts in his career, Lee is 7-0 with 1.26 ERA, 67 strikeouts, 7 walks, and a WHIP of 0.73 in 64 innings pitched. By the way, he has also thrown 3 complete games in his playoff career.

Lincecum may be "The Freak", but Cliff Lee is a machine in October.

This spells trouble for the offensive challenged Giants, even with Lincecum on the bump. Lincecum can be nasty and is by far one of the most electric talents in the game.

The problem is, Cliff Lee's left-arm has been as electric as a tornadic thunderstorm in Oklahoma.  Just ask the New York Yankees.

Look for Lee to pitch the Rangers to their first ever World Series game victory.

He likely will pitch them to the World Series Championship too!
