Kevin Love had the performance of a life time in Minnesota Timberwolves 112-103 victory over the New York Knicks at Target Center in Minneapolis.
"It's something I'll look back on and be like, 'Wow, I got a 30 and 30.' It's pretty unbelievable."
Love pulled down 31 rebounds while scoring 31 points in helping lead the T'wolves to victory.
"It definitely feels good," Love said on Saturday, one day after becoming the first player since Moses Malone in 1982 to have a 30-30 game. There was a point where Target Center, the whole crowd was better than I've seen it the last couple years. That was a good moment. A lot of things happened for us and it was a collective effort and they were cheering us on."
Love, a member of Team U.S.A. this past summer at the World Championships in Turkey, helped in carrying Team U.S.A to the gold medal.
Now, he is hoping to make the Timberwolves relevant again in the NBA. Its a tough go of it for Love and company, as the Timberwolves are only 3-7 and have the worst defense in the league, allowing 109.2 points per game.
While the team has struggled, grabbing 31 rebounds in a game can help.
Love has been viewed as a disappointment by some during his NBA career thus far, but nobody will forget his 30-30 performance at the beginning of the 2010 season.
