Roy Halladay, MLB Pitcher of the Week

Over the past 7 days, there have plenty of pitchers deserving of this week's ManSpeak MLB Pitcher of the Week.  Here are a few:

Brett Cecil was 2-0 with a 1.17 ERA over 15.1 innings pitched in 2 starts.  Cecil managed 10 strikeouts versus only 2 base on balls.

A.J. Burnett was 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA over 13 innings pitched in 2 starts.  Burnett struck out 13 batters while walking just 2.

Despite these outstanding performances by two great individuals, this week's ManSpeak MLB Player of the Week award goes to Roy Halladay of the Philadelphia Phillies.

Unless you live in a ditch, you have heard that Halladay was perfect Saturday night against the Florida Marlins, only the 20th perfect game in MLB history.

"Doc" Halladay has earned the honor.  Congrats Roy, not only for your great accomplishment of a perfect game, but more importantly, for earning your first ManSpeak MLB Pitcher of the Week award.
