The Man Speak struggled to be one game over five hundred last week with picks, but if you would've followed us, you still would of made a profit this week. Of course we will try to do better, and some of the match-ups are interesting.
Large spreads are always a problem. You know who is going to win, but never by how much. Last week we picked Indy and the Bengals to cover and while they won their games, they didn't cover and it hurt our record, and our pockets. We will see if we can do better.
This weeks spreads are brought to you by LV Hilton as of 10 am Saturday, December 5th. Lets pick some games!
Denver at Kansas City (+5)
The Chiefs are so terrible. Denver has been terrible for a few weeks now. It'll be cold in KC, but also loud. As long as Kyle Orton is healthy though, I think the Broncos cover. Denver 24 Kansas City 14
Oakland (+14.5) at Pittsburgh
Big Ben will most likely be back and the Steelers really need to get things going. Oakland is a bad team, but they surprise you on any given week (ask the Eagles). I say Pittsburgh wins easy, but can't cover and I'll take the Raiders and the points. Pittsburgh 28 Oakland 17
Houston (+1.5) at Jacksonville
Should be an entertaining game. I don't understand how Jacksonville is in the position they are in. They are not a good football team. I'll take Houston straight up on the road. Houston 33 Jacksonville 21
Tennessee (+8.5) at Indianapolis
Here is the match-up of the week, as I will be sure to be watching on the TV. Indy has made things close their last couple of games and have had to come from behind 4 or 5 times this year to stay undefeated. I think they will have to do so again as Vince Young will put up a fight. Indy will win, but won't cover in a close one. Indianapolis 31 Tennessee 27
Philadelphia at Atlanta (+5.5)
Injuries suck. Westbrook, Jackson, and Ryan are all out and it looks Michael Turner may not suit up for the Falcons. Redman is still a NFL QB? Wow! And their are rumors that Mike Vick could line up at wideout this week with all of the Eagles injuries. Despite it all, McNabb will get it done and cover. Philadelphia 24 Atlanta 13
New Orleans at Washington (+9.5)
What a performance by the Saints last week as I said the game against the Pats was a gimme. This week, not so much. I think the Saints will win, but they may be a bit complacent and play down to the competition (no offenese, haha, a pun, Redskins fans). New Orleans 31 Washington 24
Tampa Bay (+5.5) at Carolina
This pick is emotional. I picked the Bucs to upset at Atlanta last week, so I am happy with them. I picked Carolina to beat the Bills, and they got steamrolled, so I am not happy with the Panthers. I'll go with my heart here then and take Tampa Bay and the points. Shoot, I'd take Tampa straight up. Tampa 26 Carolina 23
Minnesota at Arizona (+3.5)
If Warner was definitely in, I would be all over the upset here in one of the most entertaining games of the year. If I had to choose who I trust more: my dog not to eat a cooked steak right in front of him or Matt Leinhert to win a football game, I would choose my dog. And I have a feeling AP will run for a 150+ in this one. Minnesota 35 Arizona 24
Dallas at New York Giants (+2.5)
I know the Giants have had their struggles and poor Eli's foot is still bothering him. But I think he will be a man like his brother would want him to be this week. Dallas is usually terrible late in the season, Wade Phillips will be hanging out with Charlie Weis in a few weeks. I have to take the G-Men at home and the points. New York Giants 27 Dallas 24
Balitmore (+3) at Green Bay
A good match-up and an easy pick. Now that Favre is gone, the Pack aren't as intimidating at home. Plus, Ray Lewis and the Ravens aren't scared of anything. After last weeks big win, I think the Ravens have the momentum and will take this game. Baltimore 26 Green Bay 17
Enjoy!
